Trouble in paradise on the set of local reality TV show

Minnie Dlamini© Gallo Images Minnie Dlamini Cape Town - Presenter Minnie Dlamini has allegedly turned Tropika's TV paradise into living hell for the producers with her alleged diva demands and fighting in front of the contestants.
The advertiser-funded show's upcoming season on SABC3 started filming last week in the Seychelles.
Minnie Dlamini abruptly resigned as the co-presenter on SABC1's SoccerZone two weeks ago after jetting off to the Seychelles to present Clover's revived Tropika Island of Treasure.
The show is filming its 7th season and will jump from SABC1 to SABC3 when it is broadcast in March 2017, courting a more upmarket and sophisticated consumer audience.
Sunday World reports that the embattled Tropika Island of Treasure producers went as far as eventually reaching out to the SABC to try and salvage the situation when Minnie Dlamini allegedly refused to come to an agreement over production issues that threatened to shipwreck the show running on a very tight production schedule.
Sponsor Clover, running the revived TV show under its Tropika brand, and the producers allegedly became fed up with Minnie Dlamini's diva demands.
Already on a tight production budget, the show's producers bristled when Minnie Dlamini demanded that her entourage accompany her to the Seychelles a day before she was supposed to fly from South Africa to the island paradise. She wanted her own stylist and social media team to go with her as well.
Minnie allegedly went ballistic in the Seychelles when she found out that the Tropika Island of Treasure producers had decided to tweak the show format and add a co-presenter.
The production earlier this year announced that Jonathan Boynton-Lee, a presenter on SABC3's Top Billing will be brought in the new role of Games Master on the 7th season of Tropika Island of Treasure who will encourage and talk the various teams through the challenges that will include physical and mental puzzles.
Minnie Dlamini had no problem with that.
She was however angered when she discovered, after arriving in the Seychelles, that Cardova Productions wanted to add a full co-presenter with whom she would have to share the spotlight.
Conflict erupted since Minnie Dlamini who co-hosted on SoccerZone, doesn't want a co-presenter.
In a statement Minnie Dlamini says "Cardova and Tropika offered me the sole hosting position of the upcoming season which I signed on for. I specifically asked not to be considered if they were looking for two presenters."
"The last minute they wanted to introduce a co-host which I refused as per the initial agreement. There was conflict on the island as a result," says Dlamini.
According to the producers Minnie Dlamini got her way to take her own hair stylist along to the Seychelles but the request for a social media team was axed since the show already organised social media people to document the activities.

The Rock May Run For President In 2020, Because ‘Anything Can Happen’

Now that Donald Trump has become the first president-elect without holding prior political office, it seems the doors to the Oval Office are wide open. So why *shouldn’t* Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson be strategizing his journey to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?!
At a Moana press conference over the weekend, the pro wrestler-turned-movie star smiled when Vanity Fair asked him about the prospect of running for president in 2020.
“I wouldn’t rule it out,” he said. “It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.”
Giphy
Johnson famously spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2000, but has also attended the Democratic National Convention. This isn’t the first time he’s teased us with his political dreams, either. Back in June, he told Britain’s GQ, “I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out.
“I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring,” he continued. “And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”
The Jumanji star also tweeted back in March that “maybe one day” he’d consider running for prez.
Hey, we all know stranger things have happened. And while a lot could change in the next four years, we can still dream of a heated Rock/Kanye debate at the 2020 Democratic primaries.

Rihanna’s New Manolo Blahnik

Rihanna’s New Manolo Blahnik Collab Is A Tribute To Timberland Boots

High-heeled Timbs are BACK, baby
Rihanna, the Collab Queen, is at it again. She's back with a Rih-vised Manolo Blahnik collection inspired by classic Timberland work boots.
WWD reports that the "Savage" collection, on sale November 16, will feature three styles of boots. This collection follows the "Denim Dessert" collaboration that came out in May, which, if you recall, featured a pair of incredible over-the-knee boots that Rihanna personally sent to Jennifer Lopez; J.Lo wore them in the video for "Ain't Your Mama."
Not to, like, get too deep into my Rihanna x J. Lo fanfiction, but perhaps the new collection is directly inspired by Jennifer Lopez herself. Look, it's not too farfetched. She did make stiletto-fied Timbs a major trend in the early 2000s by wearing them in her videos for "Jenny from the Block" and "All I Have." And Rihanna has been steadily bringing back early 2000s style, from denim miniskirts to velour sweatsuits, for awhile now. The aught-assaince is officially here, so let us embrace it by wearing entirely impractical snow boots.

Jennifer Lopez Wears Rihanna's Waist-High Boots As They Were Intended To Be Worn

In her new music video, no less
Jennifer Lopez dropped her new music video for "Ain't Your Mama" today, and for fans of her, Rihanna, and #fashion, you may have noticed J.Lo wearing (and dancing in) a certain $4,000 gift she received a few weeks ago.

Yes, she's rocking those waist-high Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik boots Rihanna gave as a gift to a fellow "bad bitch." How she's able to throw down an entire dance routine in them, we'll never know. But we can only guess that this is what Rihanna intended

The finale of The Block was a ratings success and crushed The X Factor

CHANNEL 9’s decision to screen just one season of The Block in 2016 has paid off with massive ratings for last night’s finale.
The Block — Winner Announced averaged a whopping 2.104 million viewers across Australia’s five capital cities.
Not only is the result a big jump up from last year’s Blocktagon finale which averaged 1.812 million but it smashed the record previously set by its biggest competitor over at Seven.

Nine’s renovation show, hosted by Scott Cam, bettered the ratings for this year’s My Kitchen Rules — Winner Announced which averaged 1.969 million, making it the highest rating non-sports program of the year.
High school sweethearts Karlie Cicero and Will Bethune were top of The Block when their apartment sold for $2.6 million, an enormous $715,000 over reserve.
That was enough to secure the Queensland couple the grand prize of $100,000 taking them to $815,000, enough to cover their upcoming wedding and honeymoon and lots more.

The Block crushed Seven’s The X Factor, which averaged a dismal 559,000 viewers. It is hard to see the talent show returning in 2017. It also smashed Ten’s Modern Family (341,000).
The huge ratings for The Block helped 60 Minutes which scored 1.332 million viewers for Liam Bartlett’s interview with Gable Tostee about the death of Tinder date Warriena Wright.
The Block — Grand Final averaged 1.712 million, also well up last year’s Blocktagon Grand Final which averaged 1.579 million.
Nine has confirmed that there will be another series of The Block, its 13th in 2017. Nine is yet to announce a location

ACA said it understood the footage was taken last Friday on the famed party island of Ibiza, and alleged police were called by a cab driver who claimed Mehajar had tried to kick him from the back seat of the cab he and his friends had entered.
The controversial former deputy mayor of Auburn has been on a month-long European sojourn, which he has faithfully kept his followers updated with via Instagram.
His most recent photo from Instagram was in Ibiza, Spain, a day ago.
The property developer rose to prominence when his lavish wedding to Aysha shut down a street in western Sydney last year.
The ACA footage showed Mehajer on the side of a road, with friends, at times appearing to laugh with police.

“We understand the arrest, happened Friday night Spanish time, when Salim and his two friends got into a taxi, eating their take away food,” ACA reported.
Ice cream and chips were spilt in the vehicle, and “a heated argument erupted”, ACA continued.
“The driver became annoyed. The driver then claims, from the back seat, Salim attempted to kick him The taxi driver called the police,” according to ACA.
The footage shows Mr Mehajer and the other two men waiting by the side of the road, then two police arriving on foot. The conversation becomes animated, with one of the policeman gesturing expansively.

It may well be an adventure Mr Mehajer wasn’t seeking on his month-long European jaunt, which he has Instagrammed dutifully and extensively to his followers as he makes his way through locations including Lebanon, Athens, Santorini, Milan and Mykonos.
His most recent post came from Ibiza a day ago: “Life goes on in Ibiza town. While every bar and club are closed during this season, the ocean remains. There is no better sound to hear than the ocean, the wind, and the rain all at once, late at night,” the post read, with an accompanying picture of a sunset.
Back home, Mr Mehajer’s parents are being pursued by the Australian Taxation Office, which alleges they owe $10 million in unpaid taxes.

Peter Garrett reflects on Midnight Oil anthem Beds Are Burning as you decide the Best ARIA Song

The Oils were inspired to write Beds Are Burning after a tour of indigenous communities. Picture: Supplied

PETER Garrett calls it the song Midnight Oil was “born to write”.
An ARIA Song Of The Year, Beds Are Burning remains a powerful and recognisable Oils anthem three decades after its release.
Perhaps their most iconic musical statement, the song was written by Garrett, Jim Moginie and Rob Hirst after the band’s 1986 Blackfella-Whitefella tour of indigenous communities.
The Oils had always been political but with Beds Are Burning and Diesel and Dust, the album it promoted, they switched their focus from environmental issues, the nuclear threat and corporate greed to local land rights.
Their protest — “it belongs to them, let’s give it back” — put reconciliation front and centre on the domestic agenda as Australia prepared to mark its Bicentenary.
It also resonated globally with politically minded music fans in countries that had colonised lands already inhabited by indigenous people including the US and Canada.
One of the Oils’ unforgettable performances of the song came during the closing ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics when the band unveiled black jumpsuits emblazoned with a white ‘Sorry’ painted on the back.
On its release in 1987, the song peaked at No. 1 in Canada, New Zealand and South Africa, at No. 6 in Australia and UK and reached the top 20 in America.
The video has been viewed 75 million times and the Oils remain as popular in the digital era as they were when CDs ruled, with the song enjoying more than 26 million plays on Spotify.

Midnight Oil's land rights anthem Beds Are Burning resonated throughout the world

Its enduring appeal was also recognised when the Australian Performing Rights Association placed it third — after The Easybeats Friday On My Mind and Daddy Cool’s Eagle Rock — in their Top 30 Australian Songs of all time poll, revealed in 2001 to celebrate the copyright agency’s 75th anniversary.
“In retrospect Beds (Are Burning) was the song we were born to record. It’s got all the bits to make it work; strong rhythms, good melody and the lyrics had some punch, while being very Aussie,” frontman Garrett said.
“It took a while to stick. It’s incredible how much it still gets played around the place.
“Who would have thought an Aboriginal land rights song would travel that far?”
The Oils could be reluctant attendees at awards ceremonies and their manager Gary Morris accepted on their behalf.
“After all this time it’s a good memory, not a short one!” Garrett said of the Song Of The Year award.
The Oils also won Single Of The Year and Best Cover Art for Diesel and Dust at the second ARIA Awards, held at the Sheraton Wentworth Hotel on February 29, 1988.
Their manager Morris, often referred to as the sixth member of the band, copped some flak from fellow presenter Molly Meldrum during the awards when he commented on the casually crushed linen suit worn by special guest Bryan Ferry.
You can vote for your favourite ARIA Song Of The Year winner from the past 30 years of the awards now.

Despite her personal problems, Darnell tried her best to put on a happy face for her best friend. "I just want to be here for you," she said. "I need this, so, bitch, don't be trying to un-invite me and s--t. I want to taste the cakes and stuff."
Here's what else happened in this week's episode:
WAGS Miami 107

1. Paint Party: It was time for all of the ladies to get their drink on and their paint on at the artsy engagement celebration Darnell orchestrated in Ashley's honor. But it was a major surprise when they finally realized their canvases would be half-naked men! And, in a shocking twist, Ashley and Claudia Sampedro were finally able to come together and resolve their differences. "I know we haven't always seen eye to eye, and we've bumped heads a lot, but I think it's just time that we get a fresh start for real," Claudia said. "Put all of that in the past and just move forward and focus on the positive."
2. Free the Nipple: Later, Hencha Voigt and Metisha Schaefer took a trip to the beach where the fitness model let it all hang out. "I like to be topless, and in Miami you're able to do that. It's fine to be free out here," she explained. "I don't care if people take pictures of me because my boobs are flawless! I kind of like to flaunt them a little; they're still new. It's like buying your new Lambo!"

3. Say Yes to the Dress: Now that the engagement was official, Ashley was ready to start shopping for her wedding dress. Her mom and her two closest friends tagged along to help in her quest to find the perfect gown to walk down the aisle. There was a lot of lace and tulle options, but after much deliberation, a strapless mermaid style with a long veil was the winner!

Ben Kingsley Wants You to Take Your Kids to “Jungle Book” Movie

i346
If you’re worried your little ones will be scared by ‘The Jungle Book’ movie, Sir Ben Kingsley says you have nothing to fear.
The 72-year-old actor voices big cat Bagheera opposite 12-year-old Neel Sethi as Mowgli in Jon Favreau’s adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s book and Ben believes it is the perfect family movie which will show children that they can overcome adversity.
He said: “There are moments in the film which are tremendous gifts to children. Jon knows that when you are telling a story to a child you cannot eliminate the dark side, it’s unfair. You are not preparing the child for the future, you are not telling that child anything if everything is sugar-coated in pink.”
“It does get dark out there, the child will be challenged as a child as well as an adult and any child watching ‘The Jungle Book’ safely with a parent will say ‘That’s me, I can do that and I can overcome terrific adversity’, and I think that is an essential part of a child’s story.”
Meanwhile, Ben and Neel were among the stars of the movie who walked the green carpet at the European Premiere at London’s BFI Imax on Wednesday (04.13.16), where a live band played songs including ‘Bare Necessities’ and ‘I Wanna Be Like You’.
Although there have already been a number of movies, including Disney’s 1967 cartoon, based on Kipling’s book, Ben was careful not to call the latest film a remake.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the premiere, he said: “Let’s be careful about calling it a remake. What we are doing is making a film based upon a book by Rudyard Kipling called ‘The Jungle Book’ and the book is the most important word in the title. He wrote this brilliant book over a 100 years ago and it’s a wonderful interpretation of it again.”
And although this family-friendly flick is not yet out in the cinemas, there’s already talk of a sequel. When asked about the possibility of ‘The Jungle Book 2’, Ben added: “Oh good, good, say it louder haha.”
And when BANG Showbiz asked if he would be back, he responded with a grin and a wink. ‘The Jungle Book’ also stars Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito and Christopher Walken but they were absent from the premiere.

Kesha Will Perform at Bob Dylan’s Birthday Concert

i339
Despite her legal troubles, Kesha recently snagged a plum gig. She’ll sing at ‘Dylan Fest: A Celebration of Bob Dylan’s 75th Birthday’ in what will be her first performance since her claims of sexual abuse against Dr. Luke were dismissed.
The 29-year-old star has been booked for the two-night music extravaganza, which is set to pay tribute to the folk icon’s diamond jubilee, on May 23-24 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
The occasion also marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Dylan’s first album ‘Just Like a Woman’and Kesha will be joined by 30 stars of the country music and folk world, including ‘Biscuits’ singer Kacey Musgraves.
The star hasn’t performed since she filed allegations of unproven serious sexual assault against her former producer and mentor, and recently had her attempts to get out of her Sony contact denied by a judge.
But the ‘Tik Tok’ hitmaker could be returning to the stage sooner than May as she is rumoured to be performing at the upcoming Coachella festival in Indio, California.
A source told X17 Online: “Kesha is beginning to realise that she needs to take her career into her own hands, and this is her way of doing just that.”
Prior to her court drama, Kesha teased fans that she was working on “weird country” music and was busy making the follow-up to her 2012 album ‘Warrior’ which was set to include some wacky country tracks.
She said: “I’ve been working on music for like, months now, obsessing in the studio all night, so I’ve got a lot of new music but it’s been so all over the place. Some of it’s like weird country, then I have love songs, so it’s all over the place so I’m still kind of compiling my record.”

Charlie Sheen Has an $89K Child Support Debt

i334
Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife claims he’s not fulfilling his parental responsibilities and owes $89,000 in child support.
The ‘Anger Management’ actor pays Brooke Mueller $55,000 a month for seven-year-old twins Bob and Max but he recently filed documents asking to have the amount drastically reduced as his wealth isn’t what it once was.
However, according to TMZ, Brooke is unconvinced by his claims and is seeking authority from a judge to freeze his assets so she can get her money from him before he has chance to empty the account.
In his court documents last month, the 50-year-old actor said he was making $613,000 per month while working on ‘Two and a Half Man’, which he left in 2011, and though he sold his rights to the show for a staggering $26,750,000, he claimed he cannot keep up with the monthly payments to Brooke because he is now earning an average of $87, 384.
Charlie admitted earlier this year he was keen to have the amounts he paid to Brooke and another of his ex-wives, Denise Richards – the mother of his daughters Sam, 11, and Lola, 10 – reduced from $55,000 a month as he felt it was no longer realistic.
He said: “We came up with a number a long time ago and I had a great job and everybody was living large. and that’s not the case right now, but there’s still that expectation to still keep paying this kind of money.
“At some point you just can’t justify it, especially when there’s no gratitude behind it. None. I would send somebody flowers every hour if I got that kind of dough tax free.”
In January, Denise filed a lawsuit against the ‘Young Guns’ actor, suing him for $1.2 million and alleging he hadn’t provided all the financial support he promised for their kids.

Tyga May Lose His Lamborghini

i340
Tyga’s car is in danger of being repossessed, since the ‘Rack City’ hitmaker reportedly owes Choice Motor Credit $357,350.77 for not making payments on his 2013 Lamborghini Aventador. TMZ reports the company now wants to take back the luxury sports car.
And this isn’t the firm’s first dealings with the rapper, as CMC also repossessed his 2014 Bentley Mulsanne in February.
Though the firm sold the car, Tyga still owes over $91,000.
This isn’t the first money problem the star has encountered recently.
It was previously revealed he had failed to close on the purchase of his new home three times.
The ‘Ayo’ hitmaker has been in escrow on a $10 million, eight-bedroom property in the Calabasas home close to where girlfriend Kylie Jenner and various members of her family live, but has reportedly come up with excuses every time the deal has been due to complete.
The 26-year-old star had blamed being on the road or not getting paid for not having the cash to finalize the transaction but the news came just a few weeks after Tyga was reprimanded by a judge for not paying a settlement agreed with one of his dancers.
Allison Brown sued the rapper for sexual battery as she claimed she was plied with alcohol and coerced to remove her top during a shoot on one of his music videos and alleged a man on the set groped one of her breasts.
She and Tyga – who was the target of the action because he was in charge – settled for around $50,000 but he only paid half so a judge then ordered him to pay the outstanding $25,000, plus $16,000 in lawyer fees.
In addition, the rapper has an outstanding tax lien of over $19,000 and owes his landlord $70,000 in back rent.

Timothy Treadwell

We will start or list of famous people who were killed in animal attacks with one case that had shocking circumstance. Timothy Treadwell was an American environmentalist and documentary maker, which was killed by a brown bear in 2003.
Until this point, nothing seems unusual. You step the invisible line Mother Nature sets for you, and you are punished. However, Timothy Treadwell was not your average city folk that fails to understand the wilderness. With 13 summers spent studying the grizzly bears of Katmai National Park in Alaska, Timothy was probably the person with the most accurate understanding of bear behavior.
He died together with his visiting girlfriend, Amie Huguenard, and the horrific scene was recorded audio by the camera. “Grizzly Man”, by Werner Herzog, is a great documentary that covers the topic.

Charlize Theron

Have you ever wondered from what descent certain celebrities were? If so, you may be surprised to hear that there are several celebrities that are of South African descent because they do not look or act as if they are originally from this area. Here are seven celebrities you may have been unaware of as being descendants of South Africa.
This famous actress has been in movies such as Aeon Flux, The Monster, and The Italian Job.  She is not however originally of U.S. decent, but instead was a native of South Africa.  She watched several English-speaking movies while growing up in an attempt to learn the language before moving to the United States at the age of nineteen. Ms. Theron is the first South African woman to earn an Oscar.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are officially the proud parents of a baby girl.
The reality star couple welcomed their daughter, named Dream, on Thursday, E! News Reports. Chyna gave birth via C-section at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Despite the engaged pair's up-and-down moments, which played out on their debut series, Rob & Chyna, the two continued to agree on their excitement for their little one's arrival.
"4 weeks to go!! Super excited to meet my baby girl," the happy mama tweeted earlier last month.
"Love this woman, can't wait for my baby girl to come already," Rob also shared ahead of the birth along with a pic of Chyna.

This marks the first child for Rob and the second for the 28-year-old model, who shares 4-year-old son King Cairo with her ex, Tyga.

The 26-year-old rapper is currently in a relationship with Rob's younger sister, Kylie Jenner, making for some awkward family drama, but the Kardashian-Jenner clan has made public efforts to put it behind them.
Rob and Chyna announced they were expecting a girl during an episode of Rob & Chyna in early September.
"It's an emotional moment. Me wanting to have a boy, it definitely stems from my dad, but I'm sure I'll have the same relationship that I had with my father with my daughter," Rob told the cameras, referencing his late father, Robert Kardashian. "I'm just happy that the baby's healthy."
"So happy for Rob and Chyna! Can't wait to welcome this new little love bug to the world. #RobandChyna," Rob's mom, Kris Jenner, tweeted at the time.
In June, Chyna opened up to ET about what kind of dad she sees Rob being. "Overprotective! For sure," she said. "Loving, caring. Rob is just a big bundle of joy."

been using to see if they really worked.
Johannesburg – It has been revealed that Noah has been trading with a system called “Binary Options” which initially became famous in the United States where many people made thousands or even millions of dollars with little effort using a unique trick to always beat the market. Earlier this year the US TV documentary show “60 Minutes” did a special report interviewing people who earned money from the system. They explained that the reason it was secret for so long is that anyone can use it. Authorities in the US have been trying to stop Americans from using the system, fearing that this new technology could create so much wealth it could cause disruption to the financial power houses that try to uphold the “status quo”. One insider, who would not be named in the documentary elaborated, “this system can make working class Americans wealthy overnight. This makes the political elite nervous as they want to maintain control”. However, outside the US, there are no restrictions over this trading technique and since January 2015 it has been estimated thousands of new millionaires have already been created worldwide

Here's How Noah Made Millions and How Anyone Can Copy His Success...

On day two, I woke up and rushed to work. I had slept in and was going to be late for my train. When I got to the office, I checked my emails and drank my coffee. Then, I remembered, I forgot to check my trade! It was already 10:45am, so it was almost 12 hours since I placed it. I logged into the site, feeling nervous and excited. Would my funds still be there? I felt a little anxious…
I opened the dashboard of the site. I thought at first I had made a mistake. Was this my account? I double checked the account name in the corner, yes it was mine. At that point, I almost spilled my coffee! I could see that my new balance at that time was $1,550. Incredible! In only 12 hours, while I was sleeping, the account made $1,200 profit from the $250 that I had funded. I’m glad I remembered to make a screenshot of it, so you can see below what I saw that morning. I wrote to my account manager at Banc de Binary. Amazingly, he was not as surprised as I was. “This is normal” he said, “in fact, we often see people earning more than that in the first 12 hours”. I was impressed, this thing was really working. For the rest of the day, I could hardly concentrate on my job.
